Code of Conduct
BodyJoy Wellness and all affiliated classes and events are committed to providing safer spaces and experiences. This safety extends to everyone regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, creed or religion.
BodyJoy Wellness practices a no tolerance policy for anyone engaging in any type of inappropriate behaviours including but not limited to:

Defamation

Bullying
-
Harassment
-
Intimidation
-
Non-Consensual contact (physical or communicative)

Non-consensual photos or recordings
-
Intoxication
-
Possession/use of illegal items/substances (weapons, drugs etc.)
Any guest of BodyJoy Wellness, including but not limited to clients, patrons, performers, audience members, or employees found to be engaging is such behaviours may be subject to:

Restorative justice meetings

Removal from premises
-
Refusal of refunds or payments
-
Exclusion from future events
-
Involvement of legal organizations
Reporting
Classes & Workshops
If you encounter any inappropriate behaviour in a class and feel the instructor didn’t adequately deal with the issue or was not aware of it, please talk to the instructor. If you feel uncomfortable doing so, please utilize the reporting form available at here
Events & Productions
Safety liaisons are present at all our events and are denoted by their special shirts. Please find a safety liaison to assist you if you feel unsafe or wish to report inappropriate behaviour.

BodyJoy Wellness reserves the right to act in accordance with best practices to ensure the safety of all attendees including clients, participants, audience members, performers, employees, volunteers and other guests. All incidents are recorded in a log, and kept for 10 years. This log is kept under lock and key and is only shared under legal order or explicit written permission from all relevant parties.
